About
The Couples Therapist Toolbox is an eight-month online professional development and mentorship program for therapists who are new or newer to couples therapy. It complements foundational training in established approaches by focusing on the practical judgement, ethical reasoning, and clinical thinking needed when real sessions become complex. Through guided discussion, reflection, and community with other therapists, participants explore assessment, consent, secrets, conflict, abuse, individual sessions, lived experience, and the many grey areas that do not come with a single right answer. The goal is to help therapists develop a thoughtful, intentional way to decide what to do next in their couples work. The program begins Thursday, October 8, 2026 with asynchronous learning, followed by the first live 90-minute session on Thursday, October 15 at 12:00 p.m. ET. Asynchronous learning and live sessions alternate throughout the program. There are no sessions in December, and the program concludes with a live session on Thursday, June 24, 2027.
